frequently asked questions

What is a composite veneer?

A composite veneer is filling material added to the front surface of the tooth to enhance the shape and appearance.

How long do composite veneers last?

Most patients like to change out their composite veneers around every five years, as they pick up stain over time. Each patient is different, and they can last longer in some cases!

Is the procedure painful?

Not at all. Composite veneers are completely additive, meaning no enamel is shaved down in  the process. We're just adding material on top of your teeth. This means no shots, no numbing, and a transformed smile in just one visit!

What's the difference between a porcelain veneer and a composite veneer?

Composite veneers are completely non-invasive and do not require any shaving of enamel, while porcelain veneers do require some enamel removal. Composite veneers are a more affordable alternative to porcelain veneers. While porcelain veneers do not stain, composite veneers can over time, just like an ordinary filling.
